Oven Barbecued Pork Chops

Time: 1 hour

  • 6 pork chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic crushed
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 1/3 cup vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/3 cup water (or sherry)
  • salt & pepper to taste




    Heat olive oil in frying pan, add pork chops and brown on both sides turning frequently.
    Season with salt and pepper. Place chops in an oven dish. Sprinkle onion over chops. In a pot, combine
    vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, dry mustard, brown sugar, ketchup, lemon juice, water and garlic.
    Boil until thick, then pour over the pork chops. Cover and bake at 350°F for 40 to 45 minutes.



    Comments: Pork chops cooked on the barbeque can easily become dried out and tough.
    That will never happen with this recipe.
