My Philososphy on Web Page Design
Keep it simple, keep it clean and keep it inexpensive. In case you missed the home page I will repeat it here: My philosophy towards designing a web page is to keep it simple. I find flashing or blinking banners and buttons to be distracting and irritating. Animation and frames have a use, but should be used in moderation. Also, they present problems for users with disabilities and will only work on newer browsers. I do not use a text editor as they can insert much unneeded code and cause the page to load more slowly.
Yes you can have lots of graphics, blinking things, scrolling banners and animation, but I will not design your site.
Most sites with a vertical menu usually have it on the left side of the screen. I don't see the sense of that. You are using the scroll bar on the right of the screen to move down the page, then you have to move across the screen to make a menu selection. Dosen't it make sense to put the menu on the right--I think so.
If you are a small business looking for an economical and informative site--look no further. I can design a standard web site for about $500.
If you have found this site by searching the web for a web site designer you are probably aware by now that I am offering a great price. If you aren't, keep searching then come back. Also, be wary of sites that offer cheap prices, but don't give a mailing address--they are likely offshore companies.
Take a look at my portfolio and you will see that I design conservative, yet professional looking web sites. I like to use images and graphics, but I am not a graphic designer. I do have a graphics application and can design graphics such as logos and buttons with mouseover effects such as the one below. I can do something similar for you.
A final note. This is a one person operation. When you call or e-mail me, you contact your web site designer. Recently a client called me with new business phone numbers. Within 10 minutes of his call the new numbers were on his web site. Do you think you would get that kind of service from a large, expensive web site designer?
