Lines from the Library (July 2001)
By Frankie Shaw
Many thanks to Peter and Celia Clark of the Digital Frog International, who have donated 4 CD-ROMs to the library for our member's use. These are absolutely fascinating and, too, a wonderful resource. We are very pleased to add to our collection;
The Digital Field Trip to the Desert,
The Digital Field Trip to the Rain Forest,
The Digital Field Trip to the Wet Lands and
The Digital Frog (2) - a new version of the original award winning CD-ROM.
This progressive and innovative company is really going places - all around the world, in fact, and is located right here in the heart of Puslinch. If you would like to read more about it please see the Puslinch Pioneer article in the November 1997 issue.
We are getting to be mean and nasty at the library! Well, not really mean and nasty, rather, less forgiving! Our fines policy is being changed to bring us into line with other Ontario libraries, and as from July 3rd our computer will not allow us to lend you anything if you have overdue material. Not until the overdue material is returned, will you be able to borrow more.
In addition, if you have maximum fines to pay ($5.00 per item), you will have to pay those fines before you can borrow again. It's worth it to be in good standing at the library and, compared with many other library systems, you'll find that our fines are the lowest of all.
