Sophie was picked up on 20 September. She was rescued from a puppy mill. She is very petite and has lost much of her hair due to a condition called alopecia, whereby after whelping, due to hormonal changes, the bitch looses much of her hair. She has infections in both ears. She will need dental work and, of course, spaying. Otherwise she is in good health. We took her for a big walk on the farm and, she had such fun and was able to keep up with the group.
After a few days, Sophie went to her new foster home with Dorothy & George. Dorothy reports
that Sophie is doing very well, her hair is growing back in, she has put weight on and she
is a very pretty little girl. Everyone loves her and she is very affectionate. Dorothy is currently screening potential new guardians for Sophie.
