Puslinchers Feared Drowned SURABAYA, INDONESIA--Jim and Joan Grayton are feared drowned when a tsunami stuck their missionary post outside the city of Surabaya on the Indonesian Island of Java.
The couple lived for more than 30 years on Sideroad 2. Jim recently retired after 25 years of driving a truck for the Puslinch Gravel and Aggregate Corp. They then embarked on a lifelong ambition to spread the Word of Christ to heathens around the world.Sadly, this dream appears to have been cut short when the volcanic island of Aotakark, located 160 km. west of Java, exploded and sent a huge tidal wave through the Java Sea and into the South China Sea, and was felt as far away as Hawaii. Early reports list approximately 450,000 others feared dead. |
