Puslinch Girl Saves Airliner TORONTO, ONTARIO--Puslinch resident and airline pilot, Ted Nesbit, is very gratefull he took his daughter Becky on a flight to Thunder Bay, on "Take your daughter to work day". Becky attends the Brock Road School and is in Grade 6 with Miss Green as her Teacher. Ted had flown this route hundreds of times, but that day it was special as Becky was aboard. Once the plane had reached cruising altitude, Ted and his copilot turned so that Becky could take their pictures. Becky took their picture, but quickly realized that they were on a collision course with another plane. She screamed out, "Da plane! Da plane!" ![]() Ted is on the left, copilot Bob Aran on the right Ted immediately put the plane into a steep dive and saved the plane from a potential midair collision. Unfortunately, 37 passengers sustained injuries during this avoidance manouever and a class action suit has been filled against the airline for 68 million dollars. Ted as been suspended without pay, pending the outcome of the suit. He now has much more time to spend with his daughter. |
